FAQ
What is a Landmass Scratch Off Map, and how does it work?
It’s a map that tells your travel story. Gently scratch away the gold foil over the places you’ve visited to reveal bright colors underneath. Each place you uncover makes the map a little more yours!
Does this map exaggerate the size of Greenland and Russia?
Our map uses an advanced projection that reduces the exaggerated sizing of places like Greenland and Russia seen on Mercator maps. That gives you a more balanced picture of the world!
Is this the original Landmass Scratch Off Map?
Yes! This is an original Landmass map. We’ve been creating maps since 2014, with thoughtful details and bright colors that turn your travels into something you can display and enjoy every day.
Is this a good gift for couples?
Definitely! Scratch off the places you’ve explored together and create a map of your shared story. It’s a thoughtful way to celebrate a honeymoon, an anniversary, or that first unforgettable trip together.
What if I haven’t traveled to many places yet?
A few meaningful places are a great place to start! Mark where you’ve been, enjoy the memories, and add to your map as your story grows. It might even spark an idea for your next adventure.
Can I use pins instead of scratching off the map?
Of course! Mount the map on cork or another suitable backing first so the pins have something to grip. Keep the gold finish and mark your travels with pins, or combine pins and scratching to make it your own!
